Default Sold the Si, Taking Deliver of my Type R in a few hours...

Well I have the Si sold for $19750.00. I think it's been sold for too little and the wife is not too happy about it, but oh well I guess. I will taking delivery of my Type R in a few hours from now. You guys think I sold the Si for too little?

2007 about 6800 miles with intake, exhaust, and HID kit. Perfect shape.

What did you pay for it? Sounds new enough that you would be upside down without a decent down payment.

I paid $21K OTD last November. Bought it cash and it was an employee deal since the wife works there.

You could have got a little more.

I sold my 00 Si last year for $13,200 (not stock) and only 23k original miles.

Edit: Didn't see your last post. You didnt lose much, but might have got more for it.

I realize I could have got more. I have had it up for sale on forums for weeks now with no action though. I have seen others on here asking 18,999 for a stock 07 Si too with no action yet. Been looking on ebay too and saw a few auctions that the reserve was not met and didn't sell. So for those reasons and the fact that I already left a deposit on a Type R, I let it go for that much. Hopefully I won't regret it later...

That sounds fine. Done is done..don't worry about about it and enjoy your new R.

Thank you, some reassurance. I know I will love the car. It just feels weird getting rid of a brand new car and getting one thats 9 years old. No warranty make me worried.

Why? This car is solid man, I was reading a thread about someone's review of the Lancer Evo 8 after 75k, and the things they listed off (and other Evo drivers seem to put up with) that were problems/problematic. Personally, what they listed I never would have tolerated, esp from a car that sells for $30k new! Not to mention, Honda's don't suffer from those same ailments.

I don't know how those Evo drivers were able to just shrug off things as acceptable. Like windshields cracking and the "weak" 4th gear in the MR transmissions.

Let me see if I can find that review and quote it.

In words it sounds stupid.... but once you drive it it'll make sense, a lot of sense.

Mods or not, the price sounds about right. You can get a brand new one for just a little more, and I don't know too many people who would pay as much for a used car as they would for a new one.

Thanks for all the support and responses.

Luckily the R is garaged at my house and in a police compound at work. I will take pics and post them later in another thread, but if you want sneak peeks look at locash's ITR for sale thread. Thats the one I bought. It will be washed up tomorrow when I register it and get an alarm put in.

Oh and now I have the R in my garage!
