96 ex model honda accord,worked finr till yesterday,wont start today,replced batery stll nothing ..when i turn engine on ,only hisssing sound...im stumped.need help

okay ?? you turn the key to the on....do you hear the fuel pump run for 2-3 seconds?
You turn the key to 'crank' position...any click noises under dash? under hood?

do you have any simple tools like a $3 test light?

 

yes sir, but when i turn it to crank there is no cliking or any other sound

 

I'd really have to hear it, but I'm guessing the hissing sound you're hearing is the starter spinning to high heavens but not being kicked out to engage the flywheel. Have a friend turn the key over while you whack the starter with a hammer...if it starts you have a bad starter.

That's one advantage to having a manual
