For security reasons, I would like to either superglue the ecu plug, or in some way, make it so you can't take it out without spending an hour or so on it.
Also, can someone post a pic of where the ecu is, and what it looks like.

super glue the ecu plug? if they want to take your ecu, then they will just cut your wire.

Jond: as far as your question goes...
superglue would do it
epoxy would work better i think
just make sure not to interrupt the connectors

and the ECU is almost never removed for service...except for replacing the ecu, which should not happen

They would have to match, and twist together each wire! HA!

So they don't use it to get engine codes or anything?
Also, where is it, and what does it look like?

Hey Jond, I was talking to you on a nother post about this same topic. Ok im ignorant. My question to you before was ,with the exception of the flat bed, whould removing your ecu help prevent your car get stolen. Turns out its makes there job easyer. why is that?
What everyones opinion on telling new owners stuff like this?
I think its better people know. I guess it would be better if we had more solutions to the security holes.

...there are many solutions to the security holes. its just people like me who do not wish to discuss it on open topics like this so anyone schmuck or thief on the board becomes brighter
The thieves bypass the factory immobilizer by supplying their own ECU. If they couldn't unplug your ecu, they couldn't bypass the immobilizer as easily.

So it could be wise to relocate your ecu. How durable is the ecu (heat, moisture)? Jond had a good idea of putting a kill switch on your ignition (i think thats what he ment) Car alarms have one but that just doesnt seem to be working.
