Default A question about wheel spacers (yes I did search)

I have been contemplating getting some Eibach spacers for my car (92 Civic DX sedan), but I had a question about them. According to the site I checked, they offer both a 5 mm and a 15 mm option. For the 5 mm, it said it used the OE hub ring, but it didn't say anything about that for the 15 mm ones. Is there some special modification that needs to be done to the vehicle in order to use the 15 mm spacers?

Thanks in advance.

What the everloving crap are you going to use a 15mm spacer for on a Civic?

It better be the gnarliest set of slicks I've ever seen.

Thank you for your completely worthless reply that did nothing to answer my question.

I've never heard of anyone using a 15mm spacer, usually they just get low offset wheels.

Like Eran said, I agree, It better be one gnarly slick to even need that kind of spacer. Drag wheels come in a low offset anyways.

Both should be hub-centric. The only modification you'll want to do is replace the stock lugs with extended ones (which I believe are included with the Eibach spacers).

I figured this was implied, considering all the Eibach kits came with new studs ....

So, just out of curiosity, are you using the 15mm spacers? And, if you are, what will you be needing the 15mm of extra space for? I think we're all getting a little curious about that.

Whether or not it was implied, I was attempting to answer his question as thoroughly as possible, especially since his original post did not mention lugs and he inquired about any necessary modifications.

Typical Honda Tech answer. You know the answer but you side-step the question and ridicule the OP instead.

What ******* business is it of yours what he's doing? Why do you always assume it's the worst possible reason?

I'm looking for a set of 15mm spacers for my EK... Gotta get something to clear my new brakes... I think I'll be using the H&R spacers with the non integrated studs...

a 5mm and 10mm spacers as it sits...

I sure hope that's not directed towards me. I just want to know if he's got wider wheels, a brake kit with large calipers, hell even a wide bodykit. I'm not going to ridicule the guy, I'm just interested.

TL "Sport" model or Type S...

won't fit under anything smaller than 16" wheels
