friends crx... coolant not going through lower radiator hose... ?

friends crx... coolant not going through lower radiator hose... ?
my friend has an ls in a crx... the lower hose would not get warm and can feel no pressure as if there is any coolant going through it... he replaced the thermostat and lower hose... flushed the coolant and had the same outcome. any ideas whats going on.. we both would appreciate any help... thanks

make sure the thermo isn't in there backwards. I is possible to put one in this way and it will definantly leave teh lower hose cold.
