what is the value of ek with gsr swap in it?
I would imagine that this question is about the email to me about my car for sale. If you are going to ask the question it should be...Whats the value of a 96 hatch with 98 GSr legit motor in it, Recaros Srd's, CF hood, full WW CTR body kit, slammed on 18's....

for 15k you can get a 99 ek with jdm itr swap, jdm recaros, 5lug conv, teins, etc. In all honesty his car is not worth 10gs. I say 9 at most and that depends on conditions of his car.

thank you civ-jdm. People expect to get out of the car, same money they put into it. Its hard to sell car with mods. All my cars, I just put to stock and sell seperately. If I was him, I would put some shiety dx motor back in his hatch and sell everything seperately. He would get a lot more money out of it.
damn you just cant give it a rest can you? are you going to troll everyone selling a civic? thats all you post here about?
Give it a rest already. If someone wants to ask whatever they want for a car they can, if it doesnt sell, then that's their problem. NOT YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is true to a point of course...Certain things have a value. There is a definite value in the GSr motor as well as the Recaro's. And i would assume the buyer wants what I have done to the car, if he emails me about it ...no?
If he would rather do this differently, then why would you respond to an ad for a car that already built.

When it comes to hybrid the term "perceived value" comes into effect. Which basically means exactly what some of you are saying. It's worth is totally dependant on who the buyer is and how bad they want it. The value of the car is going to have a prretty wide range.

tony- shut da **** up. I am not talking to you and don't need you ****** input. Thank you. Go con some riceboys, isn't that what you do anyway? I heard about your "business deals".
You can always get approximate value of Civic by checking Blue Book or Edmund's. Just provide them w/ info they're looking for like mileage, condition, location, & added factory/dealer options. It will come up w/ something for you to go by. Items such as aftermarket seats, rims, motor swap, etc. don't really fit into equation because your "typical" buyer wouldn't necessarily be interested in those "add-ons". Some may even consider it to be detriment. If you had extensive work done, there's no way to tell if it was done properly.
Another thing to keep in mind is warranty. If you bought something like 99-00 Civic, they would still be under Honda's warranty. By doing motor swap, I would tend to believe factory warranty to be void on engine. Warranties are major selling point for used late model cars.

Mods detract from the real value of a car, not add to it. The common buyer is not interested in mods: they are pricing a stock car. The only time a modded car would be worth more is if an enthusiast wants the car and recognizes the value of the extras. Remember, anything is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Which is why i'm so annoyed when people post replies to someone's post with "You're asking too much" or "You need to modify your price to get interest". Unless the word FIRM is on the post, make the seller an offer. But if someone is willing to pay what the buyer is asking, more power to him. Why should you post a response and screw up his deal? If the buyer has not done his/her research and is not aware of the going price for a product, they did not do their homework. So, keep your comments to yourself or your opinions to IM and don't make it harder for someone to get rid of the stuff they don't need. If you don't like the price, DON'T BUY IT!!!!

The way I look at it is simple......What would it cost me to build the car as it sits. All these dumb *** comments about " Modifications lower the value of a car" are just plain dumb. It is true that if someone is into big flashy body kits and bright colors, ghetto chrome rims, and multi-color pleather seats.....to them a Ek with GSr, Recaro's and CTR body kit may not be worth much as they would change everything anyway. That said...why the hell would that person look to buy a car done 100% differently then they would do it. Wouldnt they start with a stock car? If someone appreciates the car for what it is and likes the style as it sits....The car is worth exactly what it would cost to build it as it sits. I have about 16k into the car, however i do not expect all of that back.....But this clown who started this offered me 6,000.......The name should have given me a clue.....PDiddy...too funny.... And if i am correct...he is the same clown who wanted like $40.00 for a gsr strut bar....
