Little Radio trick
As much as I love performance a little boost in the t00ns is cool too. I wanted to get more volume and a little more bass without anything flashy. I opted for the stock headunit a mile 4x35 PPI amp and a lightweight 8" bazooka tube. Not really the main point.
I just wanted to share with everyone a great way to keep your stock headunit, using highl level input on the amp and never cut your factory wiring harness. I made a wiring harness out of a radio harness from a junkyard car and a aftermarket harness kit. The pic below will show it completed. basically all it is, is a jumper harness but the front speakers were not wired together. the 4 loose wires in the back exit the rdio go under my passenger seat (Less visible to theives) and into the amp. THe wires then come back from the amp and into the 4 front wires that run to the speakers in the doors (JL Audio Evo's). I bridged 2 channels and ran that back to a 8" t00b that is straped to the trunk bar with bungee cords for easy track removal.
Thoughts?

Instead of going to the junkyard, you could have got both a male and female harness for the car from the local car audio shop. Metra part number 70-1721 and 71-1721.

I paid about $30 for both sides of the harness (factory deck plug and factory harness plug, if that makes sense), plus a line-level to RCA converter so I could run a sub in my R (back in my young and misguided days
).
Still have it, if anyone wants to make an offer

You should talk to Mike at http://www.ipsracing.com
P.S. Mine was $25, but the price often changes due to exchange rates and availability. Contact Mike for the current price.
