Front end damaged slightly, help?
hey, i dont know if this is the appropriate place for this topic, but i figured you guys know most about frame geometry and such anyways.
I got in a small accident in my 96 gsr integra, i ran into the back of someone straight on, and bent my hood, bumper, and broke passenger side headlight, it was focused on the passenger side of the front.
I put a new hood on, and the rad support and front end is bent foward a bit, the hood latch is bent foward aprox 1.5" (i put on a new hood)
The fenders however are fine untouched, i was doing maybe 20mph.
Now, i picked up a new OEM bumper and passenger headlight assembly, and i want to know what the best way to go about pulling the front end out.
I can clearly see where it is bent in. Both my dad and my neighbour offered to help who have experience in autobody.
They said we should just use some comealongs and hydraulic jacks and chains etc (or rachet style chain tightener) to pull the front out untill the hood latches properly, then fit the bumper/headlight.
Does this sound proper? im sure it wont be a big deal, just looking for some tips/tricks on doing framestraightening without a frame straightener.
Is there any sort of page that will give me OEM measurements from specific points that i can use to help get it all back to normal, or to give me an idea of how much the rest is out of wack?
Thanks !!
