Hi,

Wich rods are the best to run aftermarket high cr pistons, Crower or Eagle.

Crower C-to-C are 5.433" but Eagle are 5.430" like stock Type-R rods.

Crower rods will raise the cr ? How high cr increase ?

Eagle rods are cheaper, are they a good deal or Crower rods ?

CROWER - Had them get me the Civic Type-R and a little more modification for my GSR, now on my ITR - awesome dude!

 

I say Eagle.

 

Eagle are the best for the $$$

 

I got Crower GSR/R rods
for $400 if you want them.

I have never seen one break, even at 400+hp applications.
And they are considerably less in price.

 

That may be true but Eagle rods are one of the heaviest rods for B-series motors. But, you are correct. Eagle rods are good rods.

With the Endyne/Wiseco piston and Eagle rod combo - it is still about 100g lighter per cylinder vs stock.

 

Yeah I heard Probe rods were great for the money and then some. Is probe the company that will make custom rods and 84mm pistons for b20/vtec? Anyone?

I'm running SRP 11.5:1's on Eagles. This combo weighs same as stock and no problems so far. (P.S.-SRP's can be had for much less that Endyn/Weisco and others and, they are lighter)

 

I use Eagle. Not a big Brian Crower fan.

 

If your boosting... go with paulter....


That's a stock h22 rod vs. pauter x-beam.

 

crower are stronger and can handle more boost. Eagle are cheaper tho.

Ever seen an Eagle rod fail?? -Just wondering how you know the Crower rod "can handle more boost"

 

wifey works there . I tried to skate the park in their warehouse and almost killed myself. Thought I could just pick up where I left off about 10 years ago-wrong! lol

I built all my motor using Eagle rods. I have never seen them have problems, My own B20Vtec has them and it's been to 9800 RPM's a couple of times with no problems. You can't beat the price

 

someone said SRP pistons are lighter than the wiseco ones....

but which ROD is lighter...
or lightest for that matter.

 

What about weight, stock rods VS aftermarket rods ( eagle, Crower )
