Hey folks,

First time poster <blah blah>. Annnnnnnyway, I have had a mess of wires from additional audio electronics going nuts in my 2002 civic ex coupe (xm radio, ipod hookup, etc). I know how to remove the center portion of the dash where the radio and climate controls are so I can reach behind and work on the radio, etc. What I don't know how to do is remove the top portion of the dash (the part adjacent to the windshield) so I can bury my XM antenna and pull some other cables behind there to route up to the front. A tech friend of mine did that when he mounted my radar detector on the left corner of the dash at the windshield but I wasn't savvy enough to watch him and learn.

At this point, I know there are two triangular panels on each side that are hidden when the door is closed. I pry off those panels and there are two Phillips screws there. I take those off but I'm not sure where to go from there.

I went to the bookstore and they seemed to have a mess of books on everything but Hondas. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?

what book store did you go to?
you should be able to order a helms chilton or haynes manual at any bookstore and might even luck out and them have the one youre looking for in stock.
and thats the order i would rank them too good luck.
btw this is a tech only forum you should have posted this in audio

 

1) I went to Borders since it was near my office
2) Yep, another friend told me the same thing about Chilton or Haynes
3) What's this have to do with audio? This was a "how do i dismantle my dash" question. I'm not asking for audio help.

 

I just thought youd get more help in there.
Id get a helms manual first if not then get a chiltons.
dont get a haynes theyre garbage IMO
