Default dohc compatibility

Hi I own a 91 EF sedan and would like to put a dohc engine into it.
The engine I want to put in is from a 3g civic sedan and I would like to know if it will fit my engine bay?

I will explain.....

My car 88 - 91 EF sedan in South Africa came in 150 carb/150i/160i dohc.

The 3g civic sedan came in 130carb/150carb/150i/160i dohc in South Africa this car had popup eye lids.

My problem is when I have looked at a 3g civic sedan 160i dohc the engine mounts look like they are in different locations compared to a EF sedan's engine mount locations. (I stand to be corrected on this.)

Both engines have the same engine number D16A9 (in SA)
Both engines seem to have the same intake manifold flange?
Both engines also seem to have the same exhaust manifold?
Both heads seem interchangeable between engines?(EF - 3g)

The tappet covers are slightly different.
The 3g civic sedan 160i dohc's tappet bolts are in the center of the tappet cover and the EF sedan's tappet cover bolts are on the outer edges.

Sorry for the long post, I am just trying to find out if the g3 civic's engine will fit my EF sedan engine bay as I dont want to buy a engine that wont fit.

I hope there is someone that knows a little more about this then me.

Thanks

p.s hope this is not too confusing.

I'm not too up to date with the south african lingo, but I think the transmission mounts are different. One transmission should be hydraulic and the other cable. That is assuming they are manual. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

All the cars I have mentioned have a cable clutch.
I am using American lingo as best I can.
All 5 speed manual.

We also got some auto's.

the 3g DOHC engine will not bolt right into the 88-91 4g chassis - has different mounts and different transmission

this is the 3g DOHC engine (valve cover bolts toward center) - the driver's side mount is on the front toward the radiator (behind overflow bottle)

this is the 4g DOHC engine (valve cover bolts on outside edge) - the driver's side mount is in the center
