Steering Vibrates under braking
Hello All,
Had had rotors replaced and brake lines (all new), now when i brake its vibrates (only noticeable after 50+). I have checked the caliper bolts, all is tight.
Curb'd the car previously before changing brake setup - what could cause the vibration from this possibly?
Thanks

new goodyear f1's. Weird thing was when I got the brake setup installed it didnt vibrate but now over time its vibration has gotten worse. Could it be the inner tie rods causing the problem?
At the moment as Tyson pointed out looks like the rack as there is a slight knocking sound coming when i turn it quickly right without the engine on.

It's quite possible you could have warped the new rotors. How many hard braking situations have you had? Be honest, you'd only be lying to yourself. We can only help if we have 100% facts.

when you have play in your steering, it becomes a chicken and the egg situation with warped rotors.
a warped rotor will induce movement in the suspension. but excessive play in your suspension will cause the car to vibrate, commonly described as "violent" or "horrible shaking". a warped rotor alone will not cause this. if the steering and suspension is tight, as in a new vehicle, all that will be noticable is a mild pulsing at the steering wheel. fixing the rotor alone will only remedy the symptom temporarily. as the problem is the play in your steering and the reason why your rotors warp more easily. so fix the problem, by fixing the steering rack.

How about your bearings?
Have you check that?
Did you check your caliper mounting too.. if that is look or ****-eyed.. that could cause weird issues too.
did you check the pin slides?

there is no such thing as a perfect rotor, not even new ones. You should have your rotors resurfaced to ensure they are trully straight
