Default H22a DA: I need some sort of a quarter-mile prediction for both NA and with a 75hp wet-shot.

Yeah, just as the title says, I need predictions for some et's with an H22 in a 91 DA. I plan on eventually throwing a 75 wetshot at it.

I'm just curious to see if anyone has ran this setup yet. Should be interesting!

Thanks in advance!

lol

Its not such a common swap into DA integras as it is into DC integras... But its been done. Many times. You can expect it to be in the 14s, maybe high 13s depending on the driver and modifications.

Did you search it?

I know how to do it if that's what you're asking. However, I figured at least a handful of HondaTech members have done it, and that I would get the most accurate answers via HondaTech. Explicit makes a killer kit from what I can see, and I see no reason why I shouldn't do it except for the fact that I won't be able to have A/C anymore. Then again, if I can spray it and go 12.90's, who really cares about a/c anyhow??????? Put a roll bar in it, and have a pretty mean DA.

I would still like to have a few replies from those who have done the swap. No matter how good or bad it may be, I still want to hear some aftermath opinions on it. I'm at the point where I can't go the turbo route. Out of the question! Yes, I know, no turbo = no fun, but that's just how it is for me. So it's NA/nitrous for me.

I appreciate those that have replied so far, regardless of how nice or mean they may have been. LOL

So now you're asking a different question.

I haven't done this swap myself, but I've talked to people who have. The engine sits low and if the car is lowered at all the header will scrape lots. Turbo isn't always practical and they are money pits. I'd keep it NA and go h2b (http://www.quartersportsdrag.com/H2B.html). Then you've got a car capable of low 13s with boltons. Still reliable and the power is there instantly (no turbo lag). Go for it. Just don't expect it to be cheap. 5k should get it done without the nitrous. Nitrous isn't all that practical either. The power isn't always there and its only seconds of fun.

I see where you're coming from, and I would like to also know the latest prices on the H2B kit also. I remember calling QuarterSports a long time ago, but I can't remember how much they wanted for the kit. I also can't remember what mounts I would use for the H2B kit.

I'm still not sure if the H2B will allow enough clearance for A/C. I doubt it would!

The kit costs about $1600 new and includes the proper mounts.

QS makes a nice kit and all, but i'm still sold on the Explicit kit. For the price of the H2B kit, I can buy Explicits kit, an H22 transmission, appropriate axles, shifter cable assembly, and ecu.

Thanks for your replies.

Will I be able to have power steering with the H2B kit? I don't think that the Explicit kit has power steering.

The motor does sit lower but if you are a careful driver, as lowered car drivers should be, and you have a nicely done suspension, then the clearance shouldn't be a problem.
