I have the JUN Type 3 cams along with its full valvetrain that I'm about to put into my ITR, but some guy told me to be careful with these jun cams because they brake
So i want to know if this is true, and for the people who have or have had these cams, if you could let me know what you think of them, how they perform, and if they last a long time? Any information would be good. Thanks

whats your friends justification for Jun cams "breaking"
i have been using Jun 3's in my motor for 9,000 miles now, and for driveability and performance they're astoundingly good

Not a friend, some guy that runs hondas said they have a reputation for breaking, that the highest I could rev to safely is around 8500rpm which i find hard to believe, so im just trying to find out if anyone has had this problem or if I'll be good ???
That's ridiculous. Do yourself a favor, and never go back to that guy for advice. I've heard of OLDER Crower cams taking ***** (Mostly 404 and 402Ts for some reason) and breaking into 4 pieces.
As for JUNs, I've NEVER heard this. There are many members on this board running JUN products, and have never had a problem. JUNs are made to rev deep, much deeper than below stock redline, that's just silly.
Message Jjuun R, he has quite a bit of JUN accessories on his caR, I'm sure he'll vouch for their quality.

I've had JUN3s along with the dual v.springs and ti.retainers forever now. The guy you talked to is an idiot, that's all I need to say.
You upping your compression at all with these cams? I'd strongly advise you do to get as much as you can out of them.

I aggree with this guy.
Iv been running a full jun 2 valvetrain and cam set up for almost 50k now and yes they do rev very deep, my current setup is revving to 9,600 and the only thing i have encountered was i destroyed a Ti retainer.
And i am also amazed at the drivablity and performance as this is a D/D

hate to break it to you guys.. but you are all wrong.. several years back JUN had a bad batch of cams come out their machine shop.. not to sure how many, but my cams happened to be a set as well as a few others that i've heard of.. JUN USA was very cooperative in the matter, they recognized the problem and replaced the cams as well as the head if it was damaged. I still run the JUN head package to this day and wouldnt go any other route... well aside from ENDYN's bumpsticks..
jjuuN R.. how much for the stock block?

That was just a one time thing though, I remember Mike Angel installing and tuning a set of those bad cams on a friend of mines car.
Not separating anything Mike sorry.
