dc header or generic jdm style headers?

Default dc header or generic jdm style headers?

i have a generic jdm itr style header on my gsr with a 2 1/2 collect but my friend has a dc header? im thinkin of buying the dc one but the collect on the dc seems smaller. i heard dc makes dyno proven power?

i wouldnt do it.
dc headers dont make that much power at all.. In comparison to all of the other headers, they make less.

I'd keep the one with the bigger collector. 2.5" can flow more than 2.25"

back pressure also helps with low end .. but that isnt too important in a honda

Its not...

He already said his dc sports collector is smaller than the jdm 2.5"....

backpressure is important with vtec though, if you lose alot of backpressure your vtec will not pull as hard.

I guess thats why after installing a 2.5" exhaust gives you more power??

the proven power is very small. it is 5 hps or less, you wont feel much of a difference swapping the headers.

Even thou I own one. I think dc was a better company with better sevice when the twin brothers owned/started it. Now that they make diffrent cars now it does not seem tht they just focus on improving the honda/ acura units. There still the same as back in the day. I guess a tried and proven does not need to be reinvented.
