Yes. The suddle differences of pressure that your foot puts on the pedal over time will lower you mpg. The cruise control holds a steady acceleration that will give you on average 5 to 7 more mpg on the highway.
Ha. 5 to 7..... You will only get that if you floor it to accelerate and hit the brakes to slow down a little bit. Then you slow down too much, and you floor it again to get up to the speed you want.

Werd I can't see 5-7 more mpg. Have you ever gone uphill on cruise? I'd say more like 2-4 more mpg but that's just my opinion. I can be swayed with test data. Quick somebody call Myth Busters.
