vafc good or bad?
alright so i have 91 si hatchey with a jdm 16 sir2. it has the basics, ihe. im planning on barring it with a skunk2 im, obdo-obd1 conversion and del sol ecu. i want to tune it a little so im thinking about getting a vafc.is it a good decision or not? and where can i find one because i cant find one. also how hard would it be to tune it myself
Really it's not a very good thing to tune with, if I wasn't in the middle of moving I have a good writeup on one of my extra HDDs that lays it out word for word the down falls other options and info if you do pick vafc.
Search VAFC in this forum you'll find some info and probbly the post.
Long story short, vafc isn't that good don't use it.

Just use crome, it is WAY better than a VAFC.......you are very limited in the things you can do with a VAFC and its mostly a cheap alternative to something better. You can also only tune so far with the VAFC and will definetely make more power with something better. I wish I had never used a VAFC on my old car
I coulda made even more power
Bad decision on my part.....

you will have to socket your ecu.
crome is free it's just a rom editor
crome pro is $150 comes with datalogging
the free version should be good for your either way you will need a wideband o2 in order to know whats going on inside your engine.
