Today at the junkyard I found a newly wrecked 91 hatch that had CRX seats in it. One seat was no good the other was perfect condition (the wreck ruined the other). I got the perfect condition seat for $20!!! I am stocked. But now am I able to just swap the seat pans to get it in my 89 Civic hatch. Is it possible to put a passenger side seat on the drivers side?

 

This has been gone over way too many times

 

I searched and all I found was stuff saying that 88 and 89 are different than 90 91 seats.


I just wanna know if the seat pan swap will be good and if that will allow passenger side to go to driver's side.

Yes. They are all just wishy washy answers. Nothing precise. I don't wanna take apart the pan on my seats to find out that everything won't fit. It would be a waste of time and I need my seats.


CRX seats. Black, with grey inserts with like red and yellowish lines. No CRX emblem on them or anything.

I don't know what year they are from but they were in a 91 Civic Hatch. I just wanna know if a seat pan swap will get them into my 89 hatch please!

 

put it in see if it fits if not it the whole dont align then swap the pan out or just have two bolts hold the seat.
