So this just started yesterday It boosts fine and no shaft play no fins hitting anywhere spins very free. After about 5 seconds or so you can hear the noise its almost like blowing over the top of a bottle and it does it regardless of the intake pipe being on or off the turbo. Just wondering if anyone may have encountered this and can help me out...

deff not rubbing the noise comes right out of the intake pipe on the turbo,
and whenever the fan kicks on it also does it and when you let off the gas after reving it up also. Im lost the car runs fine and makes no abnormal noise under boost at all.


also seems that after engine has somewhat of a load on it that when the idle goes back down it makes the noise

 

I've had that on a few Hondas - all NA. I think its the IACV opening/closing, as it only happens when the TB is 100% closed. Unplug the IACV and see if it goes away - I never took the time to diagnose it, since the cars all idled/ran fine.

 

Damn, that reminds me of festival in Brazil.

 

yea if I unplug the iacv the noise instantly stops and as soon as i plug it in it comes right back
