Default Autopower question?

I have a roll bar for an ITR. Will this fit in a 93 civic hatch? Any reply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sure can. But you may need to do some cuttin' & weldin'.

Check to find out if the ITR and Civic bar is the same from an Autopower dealer. If not your best bet is sell the ITR bar, and purchase the correct one. Check IO Port Racing. http://www.ioportracing.com

I'm guessing you could re-use the main hoop, but you would have to cut/reweld the rear supports at a different angle, and maybe a different length. Still much cheaper than buying a new one, but only a test fit will tell you how big of a compromise that is (and it's not like a roll bar is that expensive).

Possibly, but we are talking about just a roll bar here.

Assuming you do not have any welding equipement, tubing bender, fish mouth tool, and some spare ERW laying around. The street bolt in model (I assume you are not road racing) only cost $234. So if you take the ITR bar to the local muffler guy (which I would not trust to weld my cage or bar) he will charge you at least $100 + material (ERW is not cheap). I would sell the ITR bar for $150 spend the $100 you would have spent on mods and buy the right bar - bolt it in have very little hassle for the same price. Not to mention that you know it engineered for that specific car, and built right.

If it is the race bar with cross brace and belt bar, then the labor gets event more expensive.

How did you end up with and ITR bar?
