Are the eg civics a whole lot heavier than my 95 lude vtec all stock. my friend has a 95 civic ex all stock 5spd and me and him raced the other night and i beat him by only a car if that. we even swaped cars and raced again and it turned out about the same, could it be that my prelude has 210,000 miles.It seems to lag and bogg out in low rpms but even around 6500 it dosent pull as much as a h22 prelude should. IDK if my tranny is stock because i topped it out at 125mph at 7,300 rpms, i think the gears are too short because my buddies civic does 120 at 6,500The motor runs good tho theres no unusual noices and it idles almost perfect. I also raced a 02 lancer OZ rally edition on the freeway and he pulled on me by like half a car untill we hit 115 and his governer kicked in. any suggestions, what would be a good mod with good improvment like say a catback exhaust or does anyone knows of a good honda tuner in bakersfield CA or around cencal.

im not exactly sure what your tryin to say. your not being clear and you didnt really state a point. unless ur just asking aobut weight difference.

anyway... an EG civic EX? i dont think hatch ever came in EX. now if ur talkin bout a coupe then its not an EG. But its still lighter then a lude. your friend lost to you most likely because hes running a stock D16 which is very weak compared to your h22. but the reason you guys were so close in the end is because ur car is heavy with a powerful engine. his engine is light with a weak engine. so it pretty much balances, does that answer your question? or at least one of em.

i live nowhere near CA. so i cant help with the tuning. except maybe buy a hondata ECU.

as for the bogging and lack of "pull". go get a compression check. and before you think of getting any mods. you might want to check up the condition of ur engine. it may be that its time for a rebuild
