Default Merging onto the highway....

While it was packed with traffic. im sitting at the end of the rap. for a gold ole 2 minutes. i see a tight spot where i can jump in. i get excited cause i love merging fast...

slap that thang into first... go go go i hit 30ish. i see the rev limit blink and i shift into 2nd..... WTF... i dont even know how to explain it!? I know it feels to push the Si hardcore and it did'nt feel like it was accelerating as fast as it should. there was no grinding at all... i dont know if the gear was in the whole way or what... i am aware of the common 1st/2nd/3rd problems the Si's have but this has never happend to me before...

but 2nd gear just did'nt like .... go... fast.... so yeah i did'nt crash or anything i got off at the next exit because i thought something was wrong... but i go on back roads and shift and every thing is fine! 2nd gear just did'nt want to fast...!

I have my gotten transmission fluid changed around 9k miles... and i am about 13k miles now.... im kinda scared if that will happen again... Dealership here i come! has anything of this happend to you!?

do you have VSA... when shifting into 2nd it will brake if your tires break loose... its like slamming on the brakes.... that and ive had some hesitation in the dbw system... its almost like the ecu had a glitch....

Well if you bounced off the rev limiter its going to bog you down for 3 seconds before you get your fuel back... sounds like you may have done that right as you shifted.

I have VSA and even when I chirp second on a hard shift VSA never kicks in.

Agreed, that is the only time I have felt any kind of bog. Second gear always pulls strong for me.

its either dbw or vsa slowing me down... sometimes the vsa light blinks and all is good... tires churp no biggy... other times its like shift... seatbelt locking me in from hitting steering wheel... i dunno man... i have reason to believe its dbw... my father has a porsche with electronic gas pedal... there is no hesitation whatsoever... and it has a similar traction system.. (well way more advanced) but whatever... its new to honda right?

IT DID IT AGAIN. it just feels like its hessitating. i was turning onto a main raid and i maybe shifted at like 5000 rpm's and it liked bogged i was flooring it right when 2nd got in and i did'nt do anything.... just like it was in neutral or something.... any idea's on what the hell is wrong with it? or is just DBW? cause that just sucks
