check engine code.
i have a D15B vtec. my check engine light is on. my vtec doesn't work and my idle now is around 1250 and it doesn't drop. when i turn my car off it it goes away and the idle is fine but it eventually come back on. what could i use to check the code. and can i buy the jumper to check my code. oh yeah i have a 91 si converted to obd-1.
well, you could always try to take the car to any shop and ask them to run it through an emissions test i think, im not too sure though. I'm running OBD0 for right now, and i was running OBD0 on my b16a, so i always had the little LED light on my ECU. But i think if you take it to a shop, and tell them your car is throwing check engine, they'll run a test and they should be able to tell you why, just a thought...

Yeah on the obd1 conversion harnesses I've seen you jump wires at the ecu and it will make the cel in the dash blink...
How was your car converted?

thanks. i did all that and figured out the problem. it was blinking 6 times and it was my coolant sending unit . when i checked i saw it was my plug. the wires were old as **** so i just got a new plug cut the wires and soldered the new one on. everyhting is fine now.
