B18c5 Pricing ?'s. Plus, what's the difference(specs) between the 96-97 model vs 98+ b18c5?
I emailed http://www.hondamotorsonline.com , and asked them if the JDM b18c5's were the same price as the USDM's, and this was the email I recieved....
Hi Bill,
Yes, we do have these in stock. The 96-97 engines go for $4,800.
If you would like the 98+ spec, they go for $5,200.
(My previous question)
It showed on the website, but the pricing for the JDM b18c5 is the
same correct? If so, do you have those in stock as well?
Thanks,
Bill

What's the difference between the 96-97 and the 98+ JDM b18c5's?
Plus, who has the best pricing while having a strong reputation?
Thanks.

there seems to be no power differences between the 97 spec , and 98 and up spec, but i've heard that the 97 spec have a different cam profile....the difference in price could possibly be cause of more mileage.
cam profile...and if I'm not mistaken, only the 98+ come with the 4.785 fd.(jdm of course)
Other than that I think that's it.

The best price I've been able to muster is $4800(not shipped). Anyone know a reputable dealer that can get them for less? Thanks.
98+ specs motors = newer
4.785 FDR tranny (some gears different)
4-1 header
PCT ecu (more aggressive)
the motor puts out more torque, tranny will yield also better acceleration
-36mm hub nuts and enlarged axles means they can only be used with 98+ JDM specs ITR conversion

eg hit it right on the nose. The real diff is the FD being 4.785. Spend the extra $ (esp. if it has low miles) and get the 98
what about the axles?? will they not work in my 92 eg?? im swapping in the b18cR soon, im not sure of the year yet though..i get it tomorrow or thursday.
