A reminder for those of you racing NHRA Las Vegas!
Last year tech was horrible for the sportsman because SO many people didnt come prepared. So to avoid that this year I wanted to remind you to BE PREPARED for Tech.
NHRA will be Tech'ing cars on Thursday between the hours of 2-6pm. I would recomend doing this because you dont want to be in a huge line on friday and miss your 1st round of qualifying, like we did last year.
Also, PLEASE read the rule book cross every T and dot every i. Again, last year people didnt come prepared with missing scatter shields, expired helmet, no catch pan blah blah held us back from teching in. The "I didnt know" excuse doesnt work very good and no matter how much of a homie you are with Tom, he wont cut you any slack. He dont care who you are, he is fair with everyone.
So this is your friendly reminder from everyone held up in tech in the HOT heat last year to be prepared!!!!! The people from the east would also be greatly apprecitated.

If you dont have your license and go over 135mph, you will be DQ'd. I could go on and on with what you need to do but that is not my job. Its up to each and every racer to read the rule book and keep up with the rule revisions on http://www.nhrasportcompact.com

Hey Art!
How about a warning for racers to hydrate and be ready for the heat? Start drinking powerade and water a couple days before the race to get your body loaded up and ready. Bring plenty of drinks and ice with you, and maybe a cool towel to stick in the cooler so that you can wrap it around your neck.
Remember, a cooler, hydrated racer is a better racer. The first thing that shows up when you are dehydrated is slower reaction times. Get that body ready for the heat, as well as the racecar!

it's got to be hot there, but right outside the IP Imperial Palace there is a carousel that you can get some frozen drinks and chill while listening to a few live bands and simply act a ***.

i got a letter from NHRA today, not to the announcer guy, but to a licensed Sport Compact racer.
It says that it is very important that we support this
Vegas race as the number of west coast events for next year will be determined by the support that the vegas race receives.
Okay racers, time to step up or shut up!
We need to support this event and show up in droves.

Everybody better turn out for this event!
Bring your brother, his girlfriend, your girlfriends sister, drag your neighbor to the races, bring the little kid down the street that stops by to look at your car, do anything and everything to show that the West coast wants and needs these races!!!!!!
Got a car but not sure if you want to race, Bring it on down anyway.
Dont think you are fast enough, it doesnt matter, be part of the solution, not the problem.
Want to race in the future, then bring your stuff out now and start racing now, show your support!

Tom is fair to everybody. Thats just what we need. Want to be pro? Tom treats each and every one of the racers like a pro. If your car is right, no problem. If your car aint right, Tom will let you know right away. I like to know that the car in the lane next to me is Right!
