Default tailgate stay question.....

Alright, when I got my EG it had no hydraulic stays on the back glass. I need to know what hardware I need, and also, the compressed length of the stays so maybe I can substitute off brand ones in place of the OEM ones that run about 100 a piece....I appreciate it VERY much in advance....cause I know measuring them wont be too much fun...lol

You can get them at your local auto parts. I paid about $20 a piece for mine and they are still going strong.

Go to your local auto parts store and ask for lift supports for whatever vehicle you have. They will be able to find them in their computer.

They don't need to know the measurements.
