Default here i go

first, sorry for anyone that i upset by saying the honda community was retarted. i was super upset about my car.

but heres an idea..

my dad talked to insurance finally and they're only giving us $7,000.. garbage..

so my dad said we should buy it back and rebuild. this time i took it into consideration..

but i was just wondering how hard it would be to find parts like...

front end, 5 lug, cluster, vents, door panels, motor, steering wheel, wheels, seats (just fronts).. for reasonable amounts.. ?

Well Bri you shouldn't settle with Insurance for that amount.

I also have a bunch of low millage OEM ITR stuff for sale if you're interested. (i.e. Front seats (mint), FULL ITR Exhaust (mint), a JDM ITR Cluster, Full ITR Spring/Strut assembly (mint), and a stock ITR steering wheel with Airbag or a JDM ITR NON SRS steering wheel)

do not take 7K for that..... fight the living hell out of it.... If not you'll still be able to sell the rolling shell for a pretty penny.

Very hard.

Be ready to pay above the expected amount.

Any R part is going to cost an arm and a leg.

Front end - 1400 non-hid
5 lug WITH ITR wheels- 1400-1700 depending on condition.
Vents - Unknown
Door panels - 150-250
Motor + tranny - 96-97* ~$4000, 98+ ~$4500
Steering Wheel - 200+
Seats ( fronts ) - 350-450

Prices taken from what I've seen and bought, at our very own hondamarketplace.
Sure you might find cheaper stuff or more expensive but I wouldn't pay more then what I've listed.

Is that due to the salvage title?

I'm sure if you find a shop with fair prices they would help you out a lot more if you were to buy a list of things.

Just worry about what you need now. the rest will come.

Glad to hear your considering building your R back.

i'm sure this time you'll double check your security devices...maybe even when your just washing it!!

buy the shell back and sell it to somebody on here, it'll get put to good use... get ahold of GO-FIGHT-KILL, He might be in the market one one.

If you don't have a garage to store it in then it's not really worth your trouble to rebuild it just to get it re-stolen.

Man they had it out for you.... but then again it was a beautiful car.... I didn't know insurance would pay up at all for a Salvaged title car, so defintely take the 7k and run.... I have a feeling they'll sell you back that shell for next to nothing.

make it a track *****.

Not sure if you need one or not, but I've got a dashboard with non ITR vents and climate control, but shipping to washington would be a bitch

My girlfriend is on the quest to get one...... she's always wanted one but after taking her to E7 her jaw was dropped.... I will expect massive leg humping, some of it might be from me though.

do you blame me?

Hopefully she can find the means to acquire one, I can't co-sign since I own too many cars..... I showed her Bri's myspace with the pictures of her R and she was hating because it was so beautiful... "a ******* girl owns that, man that's bullshit, i want one"

My friend has a HID JDM front complete, never put on... he got it from Password years ago... he's asking 2k for it.

You can pick up 98spec ITR swaps from Hmotorsonline in the mid 4k's

All hope is not lost.... you can do a rebuild, take your time to get the best deals...

you should probably dump your boyfriend or stop seeing him....... just to ensure heR safety.
