Default Lowering spring issues.....

Ok, I am currently running some Matrix racing coilover springs on my 98 hatch, save the flaming as i got them for free........not that bad of a ride but a little bouncy in the rear......so i acquired some goldline springs, brand new, for cheap so i figured wtf........so i take the coilovers off of the front struts(eibach pro-dampers btw) and install the goldline springs( which are advertised as a 2-2.25" drop).......now my car is like stock height again?.....wtf?.......i was lowered about 2" with the coilovers and liked that height......but now my car is all jacked up.......I was going to trim the bumpstops on the struts down, but that shouldn't make a difference as they weren't trimmed when i was rocking the coilovers.....any ideas?.....
