I'm not new to hondas, i work at a honda dealership in fact... i have a 88' HF crx, what is the 3 character abreviation for that body... (example: ef9, ek9...ect.)

we won't because it's wrong. he probably doesn't know about it since our cars really have ed not ef in our vin. but anyways ef8 is a crx, ef9 is a hatchback.

That is wrong. The ef9 denotes only one model (jdm civic SiR, I think). Actually, there are no USDM "EF" chassis cars. All USDM 88-91 civics/crx are the ED chassis (except the wagons). My 89 hatch is an ED6 for example. Most people just assume its "EF" because that's what the JDM cars were, and/or most people just don't know.
That said, I have no idea what the HF chassis designation is, lol. Might not even be ED!

i know i spelt my name wrong other one was alrdy taken. also when you corrected me you wrote the same **** i did. i wrote it's an ed for the u.s. then you said the same thing?

ef8 is a crx in JAPAN and ef9 is a hatchback in JAPAN... you didn't specify.. but you did mention ed not ef in our vin... which is true for most (US residents) on HT
