Default Which Brake Pads?

I have a 4th gen si. The previous owners upgraded the rotors to slotted both front and rear. Upgraded to legend calipers which i think is the same as the vtec ones. Im guessing he put some cheap brake pads on them because when i brake lightly they would squeak. Now im about to change the pads and want to know what are the best for it? am i fine going with the kragen/autozone stuff or should i get aftermarket brakes?

thanks in advance

go to the acura/honda dealership and buy the 94-95 legend front pads, what a huge difference is made going from the **** autozone sells

autozone and schucks stuff is ALL crap.
use only OEM or higher spec.
the only reason i see to get autozone pads is that the duralasts are lifetime warrenty, so ur set for life BUT they suck.
make sure u brake very early if u go with those

im pretty sure when they say lifetime warranty, it means warranty from defects, not wear.

That's not an upgrade. Get rid of that garbage.

Get 93-96 VTEC pads. I recommend Axxis Ultimates. Great street pad and good for autoX/light tracing.

Legend calipers are not like VTEC calipers. They are different. They fit on VTEC rotors perfectly fine though.

Don't know why anyone would recommend a Neverlast battery. You can pick them up with one hand . Anyway, I was a big fan of my old EBC RedStuff pads (except in traffic, somewhat noisey on light braking). Now I have Hawk HPS and they're better for DD, but don't quite hold up under hard, heavy, and perodic braking like the EBC's did. And the shims that were on them started to wander and I had to remove them because they were jabbing into the rotor hub

thats halarious. never last. well... i do think its somewhat better then stock. and unless your running some serious sound system. i think its worth it. good warrenty. but my friend has it. not me. no complaints yet. i personaly would rather have the optima 6 pack. but... money..... ah....

I'd rather have something a little heavier. When it comes to batteries (as far as longevity), heavy is good (more lead plates)

EBC Redstuff pads shouldn't be used on the road, they're racing pads and need to be heated up in order to perform correctly. I have the Greenstuff on now, and I personally hate them, they're noisy, they dust like crazy (even though they claim less dust) and I think they've faded like crazy...just my experience with them.
