Since the joke expo 03 shirt has sold a lot more than a thought at 0 profit.. what do you guys think if I make some actual Expo 03 stuff? 0 profit? or have some profit but have the $$ go to whoever is organizing the event to be used during the event?

Biggest problem is design.. using a picture of an integra is technically illegal due to copyright laws.. however if it were original (non-copyrighted) artwork depicting a ITR....

 

I say make a couple of dollars to put towards the expo. I'd gladly pay extra to help.

k. I'll start working on stuff soon.. full accounting of all sales will be available to whoever organizes the expo 03 (Mike?). I'm not sure on cafepress's policies but monies might be able to be sent straight from them to the organizer.. not sure.

 

how about making it an exclusive design ?

something like ... "I helped make the 2003 Expo happen" or some chitls like that

Hmm.. at like $50 a pop!, with rights of first refusal for registration.
Maybe a partially paid registration (of up to maybe %25 of the registration amount from the profits made at the $50 per rate).
Ed -- who mighy buy a couple expensive, novelty, ITR EXPO 03, founder T-shirts (then again maybe not).

If you don't make it an exclusive design, you might get buyers that want a cool shirt, but have no intention of attending.

BTW, I doubt Honda would go after you for using an image of a Type-R. You could probably get their permission if you wanted to anyway.

 

The biggest challenge starting a new expo is the deposit money if you guys want to do the event yourself (and I think you do now)...so this would really help raise the funds to kick it off.....and make it cheaper for everybody in the long run....good luck!

 

Yea I wouldn't worry about using a pic of a teg, especially if it's for $0 profit.

Anyways, I'd hit it. er-i'd buy one.
