Last night wednesday 13 the Rx-7 of Pica Motor import made a new record of 7.19 @ 189MPH making it the fastes 3/4 chassis with a 13b engine in the world

i heard an interesting rumor that after the season some of modifieds big dogs like paul e, ken scheppers and dee k will be attending a race in puerto rico. anyone know if theres any truth to that? wheres jerseyfan or misfertech when you need them??

YEah there is truth to that. Brent,Dee, and Ken was already down in Florida for an 1/8 mile match race with the P.R. cars. It was the same day that NOPI had their race in MD i think is when it happend.
We are also invited as well.

The P.R. team are always generous and always willing to get us(Modified Cars) to come down to Florida or P.R. to put on the show.

In most cases they even pay for travel and pay for us to show up. They really take care of us real good.

 

yeah, they had a US vs Puerto Rico match race in Lakeland a little bit ago(the 1/8th mile track), they have a lot of import races there during the year.. went down there for this one, real dope event!!!

That was the same car that ran the Modified class last year. Lazcano still drives it. That was the same car that ended up in 2nd place in points. Pica just unviel the Yankee their new car a modified RX8 with a 3 rotor.

 

some of these car will be here for the pan american race on july 13-15 at ATCO. i just wish some of the heavy hitters from the US would show up so we can rep the US built cars

 

You will probably see the cars that wont attend Vegas.
I will also post the cars that are coming from PR to the Atco Pan Am events when the list is available. Of what I heard that mostly all the cars that are coming from PR are the nitro burning cars 3/4 chassis and full tube no turbos just nitros high 7 second low 8 seconds cars.

They are are all 4cyl and rotaries

 

I wish some of those cars would come run in NHRA and NDRA and fill the class up. it would be nice to see

you will not be disappointed. It's an awesome event and there is 40,000 people there per day. Just bring some ear pugs,asprin and patience for all the oil downs and wrecks...lol

 

Pica and a bunch others did come over to race last season and where not warmly greeted by NHRA
sad cuase modified was such a exciting and fun class to watch

btw the rx-8 will be 13B not 20B

the big thing now from p.r to fl is whos the fastest nos car if you come to lakeland its a war and fun to watch from edwin loquito killer,pilon,pito racing and ramon quit killer racing its one bad *** show all have gone in the 5.4 - 5.5 on 2 rotors nos only and loquito killer has been 5.0 with a 3 rotor nos only its easy to make power with boost lets see who can be the nos king thats exicting
