when i did it i took about a foot of plastic tube from an old super soaker and a funnel, stuck the tube in the hole and just measured out 2.3 quarts after i drained it all.

(edit) the tube was just wide enough so i could squeeze the funnel spout in it for a very snug fit, then slowly poured the fluid in.

and if you run with low or no fluid your gears can seize up and basically explode your tranny.

thats what i think happened to mine wtih the previous owner. i guess they rebuilt it, jb welded the hole shut, and sold it to some stupid newby kid. (me) anyway, the tranny now makes a whole messs of horrible noises so you keep that thing topped off, ya hear?

do i need to place the tube in the hole directly in the fill plug or in the right side of the fill plug. would a squirt bottle work possibly?!!

you need to get it so you can empty the tranny fluid in the upright position so it wont just flow back into the bottle. longer the hose the better. hold one hand on the hose into the tranny and squeeze the bottle with the other hand slowly. it takes an annoyingly long time to get it all in there

i just stuck the hose in and it poured in. you only fill it up to the level the fill plug is out. and i think if you used a spray bottle youd get too much air in it. and that would take forever. its not as hard as it sounds, just stick a funnel in the hose, make sure the hose is all downhill to prevent it from backing up, and stick the hose right inside the hole, it doesnt need to go in far.

Pull the fill plug and the speed sensor. Fill the fluid through the speed sensor hole and then the excess fluid will spill out of the fill plug hole.
