Default h22 in a 6th gen v6 coupe....

Ok before you go bashing the idea atleast hear it out...So the trannys in my car are ****, and the only options i have are to do a 6spd conversion (around 5K worth of work...) or a complete engine and tranny swap since i refuse to have my tranny rebuild due to the fact that the initial failure is due to a design flaw. (or sell the car and start over, but i happen to love my car even tho im trying to sell it now just looking into all the posibilies)

So is it possible? and how much work is needed? (meaning shop hours at a good shop)

And is it worth it to do it and boost it later on? thanks for the input!

Everything in the engine bay is reversed, so it's a complete bitch to do

I knew that, But can someone guess how much the engine swap would be?

Well i would buy a JDM H22a1 w/5spd manual <---so how much for that swap into my car? ball park ofcourse.

Call a shop, I dont know of anyone doing a v6 > h22 swap in your year accord.

Just the CL swap in yours, and then the legend manual tranny in the 5th gen v6

Your major problem with the swap is essentially reversing and redoing the wiring harness, all the ac lines (i'd imagine these need to be redone) etc. That would probably be an absolute pain to do

IMO just do the tranny swap the h22 swap is going to cost nearly the same ill bet you will want to keep the car after the swap and if not how rare is it to come by a v6 with a 6spd

depending on the person you might have a slight jump in your resale

You're right, i would love to do the 6spd swap BUT...The tranny is $1800 shop labor will be atleast another 3k plus misc parts....whereas you can pick up and full JDM H22a1 swap for 2k. So if the labor and parts would be less, i would just go the route and have it built for boost down the road.
