just wanted to say so long to everyone in here, i enjoyed my time with the civic, but ive upgraded to an 02 BMW 330i. this forum really helped with a lot of the problems i had, and the DIY's were amazing. its been good.

Good for you mate. As i recall you are still quite young though...?

I don't know if you've ever driven RWD much but be careful, the 330i is a hell of a step from a d17. Don't let it go to your head or you'll stack it before long.

 

thanks man, yeah, im 16, and i can feel the difference, i wont be speeding very much in that thing. it is definently a step up from the d17.

thats a hell of a ride for 16. looks good stock, dont change a thing except maybe a decent navi and sound system.

 

it came with a full Harmon Kardan sound system, and rather than mess up the flow, and seeing as how those sound AWESOME, im gonna leave it like that, and i already have a Garmin GPS so im not even gonna mess around with it. the most im gonna do is window tint probably. and maybe some older style BMW meshes.

and yeah, im an extremely lucky 16 year old.

 

Just curious, but how did you get that for a car? Did you get a good deal, or was it a "hand me down" from a relative? Or, more likely, did mom and dad buy it?

 

what we did was my dad's best friend he grew up with owns a car dealership, this came in as a trade for two vehicles and i had 7k saved up since i was about 12 so, what my parents said was that they will sell my civic, put that towards the BMW, and i will pay the rest, plus my insurance, im paying for it, im not some kinda spoiled kid or anything, i work for everything i get. we got it for 16k with 80,xxx miles on it. i had also been picking up payments on the civic since i got it last october, id pay every other month.

people who moved from a Honda to BMW usually shows either one of these symptoms.

+ Aging - He gets old, can't take more bumps with old Honda + suspension mods.
+ He get bigger pocket - Well, Congrats! You have stepped up and made a progress.
