Default A complete newbie question....

Do all '98 Civic Ex's come with Vtec? I know some of the older one's come in both varieties so this makes me curious as seeing how that one I am looking to purchase I do not recall what it is.

Pardon the newbie'ism.

Late...

Thanks for the input.

Looking forward to purchasing this car and having something to work on. I am sure you will be seeing a lot more from me here if the car checks out pretty well mechanically.

you could also look for the green vtec solenoid to verify. that way you dont have to get your hands dirty rubbing that oil and grease off the stamp.

I'm hoping to see 20 inch chrome wheels, a 6th aluminum wing (polished mind you), a 7 inch wide muffler with 4 inch piping, and those "awesome" chrome windshield wipers...

No, seriously, I'd rather see a freshly-washed stock Honda than a hastily built car. Nothing is worse than seeing a car being put together where the car owner doesn't have some sort of semblance of a plan.

Yes all EX's come with V-TECh unless their engine was swapped out. Honestly, I would settle for a reconstructed title SI than an EX, but that's probably just me....
