To those with tints
I'm tinting my R tomorrow morning and when I called the guy, he said that those little black dots Integras have on the hatch window show up and are noticable.
From those who have tinted their R's, how noticable is it? Does it look bad?
FYI: I'm thinking of tinting with a 35% grade, which I believe is one shade away from the lightest.

Ive had one Integra with tint cut off where the dots start. One Integra with tint covering the entire hatch.
I think it looks much better covering the entire hatch. *But*, how good it will look basically depends on how good the installer is.
35% =
(and legal in most states)

Mine stop at the dots... If you continue into the dots in time it will start to peel quickly from the dots, cause the dots will leave air space between the glass and tint.
Get a black sticker put across the dots befor the tint goes on. Wish I had done that on mine, you can really notice the shitty quality of the tint where the dots are.

Asthetics . . . dictated by the car manufacturers. They do provide a small bit of a shade band but the front shade band is more functional than the rear.

FYI, no it isn't. THey are just referred to as "paint dots". I worked INTIMATELY with glass for 2 years and the word matrix never came up.

I got 30% tint all around my car and on the dot matrix part the guy who installed it told me to bring my car back after the tint had fully tried and he put a piece of tape right whre the tint stopped and the dot matrix began and just painted the inside black, fromt he outside it looks badass.
