just went through the same ****...i found one for a grand with 50k miles on it...you can find whole D16y8 swaps with trans and everything else needed alot cheaper..i was desperate though...try http://www.hmotorsonline.com they are pretty good and they are on the west coast which works for you put in your signature "WTB: D16Y8 motor" see if anyone sends you a messages...sucks you are still trial cant go on the marketplace yet

if you need just the motor and nothing else you should be able to find one for at most 500


after i bought mine, allllll types of people messaged me with motors so i was kind of beat for getting one for cheap
