Default EK/DC2 Mugen Calipers, any differ from standard B16/B18 caliper?

I'm just wondering if the Mugen caliper actually any better than stock, since the exterior of the caliper itself looks almost EXACTLY the same, except the "mugen" logo in the front.

The question is, are there any different? piston size? diameter? stoping power?

Thanks you all in advance for input!

The "B16" caliper you speak of is the same on all integras. 94-01 Integras use a caliper with a 10.3" rotor. This "Mugen" caliper is actually for an upgrade. Its totally different and uses an 11.8" rotor. They are made by nissin. If you are interested in the upgrade, PM me, I have a set.

Oh night and day. I mean this is a totally different setup, bigger caliper, bigger rotor, and a very agressive pad. Also, the rotor is a very effecient design, lightweight for its size, and fade is all but eliminated.

if you are referring to b16 to civics (si) and b18 to integras, the piston in the calipers for integras is slightly larger. IIRC, the rotors are slightly larger as well. (shameless plug: i've got a set of rotors/brackets/calipers for sale if you want them) if you want an UPGRADE go with the legend/nsx caliper upgrade. if you go with the legend calipers, some are DUAL piston. there are all sorts of rotors you can use (legend/prelude/accord/nsx/ITR). the best would be the rotors for preludes 4x114 redrilled to 4x100 for you i'd imagine because of the same center bore and the holes would not overlap. i had a set ready to go on to my db8 but then i totalled it. i've got 2 pairs of prelude rotors drilled to 4x100 (not redrilled, mind you) if you are interested (another shameless plug) do a search for LEGEND BRAKE UPGRADE and good reading and good luck!

You're meaning the Civic Si brakes. Those are a 2" piston, and the Integras take a 2.25" piston. The rotors are 100% identical. That Legend/NSX setup...the Legend GS calipers are a 2 piston. You cant use NSX, Legend, or Accord rotors, just the Prelude ones drilled to 4x100. Time for my shameless plug, I've got a set of Prelude rotors drilled to 4x100 if anyone needs em, and if anyone needs the brackets milled, I can do that too.

That is the "mugen caliper"

So is this. These are also for sale (good idea on the shameless plugging, hehe.)
