Default speedometer reading off

so going to work this morning i got pulled over for going 91 in a 75. my speedometer said 80 when the cop pulled me over but i had been going 85 a few seconds before. i just put new tires on (205/55R15). how much did this actually throw my speedometer off since it could be between 5 and 10 mph based on my numbers. and is there anythign i can do to correct this short of getting new tires? most ppl seemed to recomend the 205/55R15 so i must say im suprised to see the change in the speedometer.
