Default map sensor

i have a 91 hf converted to obd1 and i have everything hooked up(dizzy, jumper, injectors, etc) but when i got the car the map sensor was "rigged". There are three wires for the obd1 sensor(yellow, red, and green i think) but only two on the recieving end of the obd0 harness, i am just curious as to what i need to do because i have never heard of anyone having a problem with the map during this swap. any comments or help is greatly appreciated, thanks Matt

^^^just to add to this i think that i should say when i got the car it already had a b7 in it and was in running condition but it was still using obd0 ecu, dizzy. and the car ran like absolute **** but the weird thing was when the car was running you could unplug the "rigged" map sensor and it had no effect what so ever on the car running........definately need to figure this out, thanks

OBD0 MAP sensors have 3 wires as well. Either a wire is missing, or your harness was rigged up with the wrong wires going to the MAP sensor.

on the OBD0 engine, the MAP wiring is not on the engine harness - sounds like you have the MAP confused with something else

well the map on the b7 is right on top of the TB and on the obd0 it is down on the plenum

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by mkcivic &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">well the map on the b7 is right on top of the TB and on the obd0 it is down on the plenum</TD></TR></TABLE>the OBD0 cars have the MAP sensor mounted on the firewall - the EG cars with D15B7 also have the MAP on the firewall, not on the throttle body - if your B7 has it on the throttle body, it doesn't have the B7 throttle body

this is OBD0 MAP location - has 3 wire connector which is <U>not</U> on the engine harness

your car being HF, originally had the MAP inside the control box on the firewall
