Default 482whp / 332 tq: 84mm GSR w/ T3/T04E 57 trim pump gas

This car has blown up twice before (sunk sleeve x1, stuck thermostat/blown HG/warped head x1) and I'm glad to finally see it shine. Quite the EMS **** too... First Neptune, then Crome and now eCtune.

This car has always been fast. This turbo has always spooled stupid fast. The oddball shitball turbo manifold is the only thing I can figure.

Setup:

84mm Benson sleeved GSR, decked ???
CP Pistons
GSR head, milled ???
GSR cams, OEM gears
VictorX manifold
GSR TB
Precision 880s
R5671-8 spark plugs @0.025" (Needs colder plugs BADLY for more power!!!)
"TRR" semi-equal length tubular manifold - Dynamic Autosport cheapie special (has cracked repeatedly but has always made great power on this + other cars)
38mm tial wastegate (creeps bad on <12psi)
Garrett T3/T04E 57 trim .63 A/R
3" downpipe, no cat, full 3" exhaust
MSD Pro Billet distributor, SCI ignition, Blaster2 coil, MSD wires
Greddy Profec B
93 octane pump gas

Not all that crazy of a setup, but wow. 8psi of boost by ~3200-3300rpm. Positive pressure inside 3000rpm. Full boost (~20psi by DEFI guages, 18psi by eCtune w/ 3.5 bar AEM sensor) by about 5000 RPM.

Car looks damn near stock (black 98 GSR) and with the Quaife is one scary true street car. I won't say the car is tuned conservatively, but AFRs are at/below 11:1 from about 6000rpm up. Kind of curious to see what I could do with colder plugs gapped tigher, but the owner (and I) are already scared of it as it stands.

Damn you don't waste anytime, right back to tuning cars.
Great job as usual.

thats an insane ammount of power for a 57-trim on pump gas.........i thought they were only rated to about 500 crank HP?

either way.....look good.....i wish my 57-trim would crank out that much on pump gas.....

Tuned 3 cars yesterday, looking at 2 today and then 2 tomorrow. I'm swamped. From vacation to the frying pan.

9s with a tighter gap (.023 - .020ish) I think would be enough to make it to 500. I was having ignition breakup issues with the boost any higher than this. (Plugs had no signs of detonation, but it was puffing unburnt fuel out the back something serious) The turbo is most definitely close to the end of its useful life, however.

Then again, it could have been something else... It ended up breaking down on the way home from the dyno. Plugs, compression and cam-cam-crank timing were all still good, as we checked those first. If it's not one thing it's another with this car... Due to the two screws that hold the rotor button on inside the MSD distributor backing out and the rotor / screws / cap getting trashed. Somehow managed to figure out the problem on the side of the road in the dark for my friend... He was only 2 blocks from home so we rigged it and he drove it home. Amazing.

In case you're curious... Boost plots (partial screenshot from eCtune) Ignore the AFR in this plot as there was not a wideband hooked up. These are what eCtune said the AEM 3.5 bar sensor said. The DEFI guages read about 2.5 psi higher (20psi peak)

I don't have any. The owner can speak up and post some if he wants to. I think he's trying to keep the car from being recognized/recognizable, however.
