Default good cheap speakers

i am not a audio crazy guy.. but the stock speakers are blown.

so i am looking at some cheap replacements. i saw some Dual 6.5 (the blue ones) for like 35$ for the pair.

i dont know much about speakers just want something decent where i dont have to listen to crackling.

Are these dual ones any good?

Duals are bottom feeders so the answer is a big NO!

Personally my fav for cheap spkrs right now are the kenwood kfc-1690ie they run around $80/pr and will sound 10x better than those duals.

Ditto the above ^^^

Stick with brand name speakers, Alpine, Pioneer, Infinity, Clarion, Eclipse, even Sony Xplod speakers are better then Dual.

What are you driving the speakers with? 94

I wouldn't call Pioneers good but they're cheap and sound comes out!

Cheap speakers have tiny, light magnets and cheap, often paper surround material. They don't sound too great, so what you end up doing is cranking up the bass and treble, which overworks the speaker making it sound like **** and die prematurely.

Decent, cheap speakers run about $50 for the pair. But you can get some pretty good speakers for around $80. Go mow some lawns it's worth it.

On my daily driver I picked up 4 Polk db650's for cheap (Being Discontinued, I got them for $39 each pair locally but I think you can find them for around 50 on Crutchfield), and they sound great powered by the deck (Alpine CDA-9857, Front MDF Rings, Fiberglass enclosure's in the stock rear location.).
