Default Wrong size replacement brake rotors?

I ordered two front Brembo blank replacement rotors a while back and they will be installed shortly with new pads and the spoon calipers. I woke up this morning at 5 am for no good reason - with nothing else to do I started wondering if the replacement rotors are the correct size. I pulled out the measuring tape and now I’m a little worried.

I measured the diameter at 11 and 1/16th inches ~ 11.06 inches
The thickness is 29/32 of an inch ~ .906 inches

The official brake dimensions for the Type R are the following correct?
Ventilated, 11.1 in (282 mm) diameter, 0.98 in (25 mm) rotor thickness

Maybe I can’t measure stuff correctly or maybe my tape measure is wrong. Does anyone with the Brembo blank replacement rotors know if these are the correct ones?

The laser engraved numbers on the rotor:
02 01 A AA MIN. TH. 21 MM Brembo 09.6893.10

YOur measuremenst are all undersized if I am reading correctly. This would imply that there will be no clearance issues and they opted for the side of caution. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

they fit fine.

however when I took mine off to inspect them after the Expo, I noticed that there was a VERY small overlap between the pad and the rotor. you could see on the outer edge of the pad that the pad material had not been used up as much as the rest of the pad (sorry, hard to explain). now I understand why that happened - the Brembo rotors had a slightly smaller diameter than the original rotors, so that pad did not cover the rotor 100%.

how about weight? did anyone bother to weigh them?

I think it is just a matter of allowable tolerance in the manufacturing process. Brembo is a big company so I'm not too worried about that (unless it's a wrong part to begin with ).

That all makes sense - I feel better now.
What would I do without the helpful people of H-T?

Maybe a dumb question, but is there an easy way of taking off the rotor... I can't fricken take off the 2 soft *** aluminum fastners that hold on the darn rotor... I justed air tools, wrachets, screwdrivers... the screws are just too soft... anyone have any sugestions?

thanks a lot

Have you stripped them yet? An impact driver should work just fine. Sears should have one ~$20. Once you get them off, don't ever put them back on they're useless. They're not even needed.

Hypathediclly speaking of course... ahem.... What if I did strip one of them.... The other side is ok, so I should go get an impact driver that you take a hammer to the back of, right? man I am an idiot, I striped one of the heads... should I get the drill out? Oh, and my wheel stud was warrentied... they wrote "One Time" on the recipt tho.

Meh, they always say "one time." I bought my car after having a dealership in Memphis do a full inspection and tell me it was okay. Turns out the car burnt mad oil, "like, a problematic amount of oil," and the cylinder walls were scratched to **** and there was sand on the pistons. My dealer tells me this is a "one time goodwill gesture," like they're doing me a favor... ******** forgot to put in TWO MOTOR MOUNTS after they put in the new block. How the hell could people be so stupid. Why the hell am I getting so offtopic? Yes, if you stripped one drill the bitch out and toss it in the trash. Impact driver should take care of the rest.
