well my hood wasn't lining up in the back (sitting to high) then i figured out it was stripped. So i tried using dremel the grider end broke only had 1... Then to a drill bit which got it out however it was crooked so then i tried tapping with a 5-16 s tapp and the support wall is so thin it just stripped again. I don't think there is another way to it to put a bolt in there? Any ideas please throw em at me.

 

is it thick enough to weld on? if so weld in that hole then re-tap it

 

i dont think it is thick enought maybe for like a tig, but i still dont know if it would hold up. plus i dont have a welder.. any other ideas,,, ANYONE?

 

an alternative route is to use hoodpins

just make sure u get the lockin ones, so no one will come along and jack ur motor haha

 

its the back of the hood, the hinge when u open the hood they are where you adjust the fitting of the hood. mine sat high in the back and so i went to tighten it and come to find out it was stripped the whole time. I hate hood pins btw i had them in my old (cervics hood sp) and like the oem hood

fixed,,,, toggle bolts are the way to go if you ever get into a sticky situation.
