Skunk2 Valvetrain with Stock Cams on 01 GSR
I got a 01 GSR with a valve problem which I'm planning on getting a valve job. A friend of mines has a full set of skunk 2 valves, valve springs, and retainers for sale cheap which I plan on buying. I was wondering would it be okay to run the stock cams with the upgrade valvetrain? Will the upgraded valve springs give me any problems? Also will the car have any problems with idle. I plan to upgrade the cams later when funds are more available. Thanks again ahead of time.

Ive looked in a few threads, and all you ever say is "
"
Please try to at least make an attempt to give something to the thread..
What kind of goals do you have for your car?
If you plan on revving it higher or something, is your bottom end strong enough to support it?
And you are correct in thinking that your stock cams will be okay with an upgraded valve train. I will be keeping my stock gsr cams when I build my head.
