Will a d16 tranny work with a d17?

got a d17a2.
tranny leaks from a cracked bolt (ran over something).

is seperating the tranny housing and clutch housing on a d17 the same as say a b16 tranny?

surrounding tranny housing bolts, fork bolts on the side, snap ring at the top?

Undo starter, undo slave cylinder, remove bell housing bolts and pull.
