Default Cheapest OEM replacement shocks/struts

My daily driver 01 DX sedan needs new suspension BADLY. The wheels will continue bouncing after a bump for about 100 feet. Forget about staying straight while turning and hitting a bump.

What are the cheapest possible OEM replacement shocks/struts for this vehicle? I remember back in the day, KYB GR-2s would be okay. However, Pep Boys says they don't work for this car.

Preferably something I can pick up from an Autozone or something right now. Thanks in advance.

Here is a picture of the beast for your enjoyment.

You'll actually find cheaper prices online, than at Autozone, for shock/struts. So, you may want to hunt down something like Tokico's or Koni's, and stick with those brands.

I haven't really seen any struts that are 'cheap'. Some shocks are, but struts take a bit more to make--especially with all of the metal that's on the front of the 7th gen struts.

I have the cheap KYBs they seem to work fine so far. Look on ebay about 200 for the front set.

Good Luck.

Do KYBs work for this model Civic? Pep Boys said they don't, but then again, I'm not one to trust them. I don't care too much for the price as long as I can pick them up at an Autozone or something near me very quickly.

Pep Boy's OEM replacement struts/shocks are $114 each.
