CRX TECHNICAL HELP NEEDED b20/b16 swap wont work right.
I spent 6000 with tpr (tuning shop) and my swap included a bad tranny and a junkyard motor that barely idaled. He said this was a standard swap so i went to RACELINE they charged me 2000 for tuning , told me they had the tranny working fine , And it did for about 50 miles on the way home. Needless to say i didnt recieve any money back !!! Anyway i have over 13,000 invested and cant even drive my car, noone will buy it and every shop in town has already got me. What can i do myself to get this running ? Is a surging idal definatly some sensor? They say its fine but ??????
My god, you can get a high milage c5 vette for that price.
That aside, are you getting any cels? Have you leakdown tested the motor?

yeah, that's like a ~$2000 swap total (unless you got a built motor), sounds like those guys hosed you.
a surging idle can often be as simple as a vacuum leak, or air in the cooling system. Check for leaks around the intake manifold, and "burp" the cooling system, by jacking the front end up a few inches, and letting the car idle with the radiator cap off until all the bubbles are gone (topping off as necessary).

Good idea i will try to burp the system today. Dontr tell me i could have bought a vette , that only makes me sicker!!!!!! I am just to trusting, i thought they would try to make me happy to keep a customer , boy was i wrong lol I still want a honda justr a nice STOCK model that runs everyday , now that makes me drool.
