i put in an electric autometer water temp gauge and i installed the sender inside of the thermostat housing. when im driving i get a reading of 130 or bellow but when im standing still i get a 190. im thinking that it can cool down 60 degrees from me driving. is there a better location for the sending unit for the gauge. thanks

 

Does your regular temp guage go down as well? If so, it could be due to a bad thermostat.
